days turn to nights turn to weeks turn to paper into rocks into plastic

i wanted to try the tutorials from gogirl and chictopia

truthfully i didn’t really know what i was doing. I just took scissors, a pencil and a … nail filer (haha this is because i can’t find my ruler), and tried to mark where i wanted the holes. I actually wanted to do the shredded look, but i didnt have a competent needle.
i started from the bottom, trying to make the cuts not too close to each other. but i ended up making really large cuts, when originally i wanted thin “slices” for the look.
midway from the bottom, i stopped. I think i might have messed it up. HAHAHA. so here it is.

i didn’t make the holes exactly the same on the front and back. But what I did is I cut up the collar so it looks irreversible, and just did the holes on one side. i stopped making the cutouts cos i think i might’ve messed it up by making the holes so big. plus, it looks like a semi-modified almost cropped top. (wtf? hahaha) okay well next time i’ll try again. and i'll be more careful. hehehe

closer and closer the ones that we knew...

Black Sweater Dress: Topshop
Gold Necklace: Forever21
Black Pumps: Far East Plaza (Singapore)

had a swim early in the morning. exhausting! my body went limp right after i took a shower.
worked from home the rest of the day. emotionally tiring... and not at all satisfying.
these days i have been fueled by teenage angst. i didn't know i still had it in me. maybe its from watching too much gossip girl.. talk about hypodermic theory of media studies. they really do inject the blairwaldorf-ness into you.

for those in malaysia, please check out my online blogshop: http://abcdefgaragesale.blogspot.com/

you'll be calling but i won't be at the phone...

I was reorganizing my closet when I came upon this souvenir shirt that I purchased while I was in Hong Kong vacationing in 2007.

At first I wanted to dye it, but I somehow lost the NYLON dyes I bought from last semester..
Silly me.
So I just thought of cutting it up instead since I HATED the neckline.

and the sleeves as well.
soooo... I randomly made some dots here and there..
and since I'm not a fashion design student, mine was just random.
and then I cut it
and...
now it looks like this!

Shirt: Mong Kok Ladies Market (Hong Kong)
Denim Shorts: MANGO

my heart's in zero gravity

grey polkadot jacket: amcorp mall flea market (malaysia)
david bowie tshirt: khaosan road market. bangkok (thailand)
grey jodhpurs: sunway pyramid mall (malaysia)
red sandals: birkenstock
backpack: vintage chanel

these jodhpurs must be one of the most comfortable pants i've ever owned.
if i think about it, rm90 for these pants are a bit expensive (since you can get it somewhat cheaper in indonesian markets) but you can't pay a price for the comfort.

sorry but my room's not that photogenic. hahaha

ps: jamiroquai's show at Sepang F1 was awesome.

3FT’s

Everyone wants to boycott Israel because of the war, but I want to give the people of Tel Aviv a standing ovation because of their fashion sense! I love how they dress!

pictures from: thestreetwalker

Another round of blog-surfing has pulled me to wear palettes, a blog that showcases fashionable outfits from lookbook.nu, according to colour palettes, which is quirky and cute, and since I love color palettes, I can’t help but be drawn to several of them, hahaha.

My brother’s camera is working now! Woo hoo! So expect an update from abcdefgaragesale!

BIRDCAGE

i remember when i was younger, i wasn't into shoes at all. i wore sneakers, comfortable ones that i can wear with socks. but as i grew older i found out i cannot always wear sneakers, and ever since i moved to malaysia (the shoe capital with homegrown labels like vincci and nose at amazingly affordable prices) buying shoes is like buying paper underwear. use once and then dispose.
but, i have since then developed an interest in shoes, and here is my latest conquest: the Urban Outfitters Dolce Vita Birdcage Heels (in teal).
oh, drool. I hope I can purchase a lookalike soon (I would buy the real deal if I was in the states, lol)
